Leadership Session

President Hogan: Without the Book of Mormon, there would be no gathering. The building of temples is for the purpose of gathering.

Sister Mobley: Unity, as defined by the church, is becoming one with Heavenly Father, 

Jesus Christ and others. Revelation is scattered among us.

Bishop Sisson: Opportunities to minister to others are all around us. Be present, listen with love, and serve with charity.

Elder Michael A. Dunn: What’s it going to take to be better? Where and how can we change? 

*Who is the one person you can bring closer to Christ?

*What actionable role will you play in that next step of the covenant path?

*How will you inspire others in your ministry to do the same? General Conference is our walk and talk for the next six months. President Nelson is a prophet for our day. The restoration of the gospel continues. There are beautiful adjustments continuing to occur.

*The doctrinal basis: two great commandments, to love God and love mankind. Am I a “second-commandment Saint”?

*Become less transactional and more transformational. Find joy at church. “There is much to be happy about” so show it in your face. Inspire and be inspired. Gathering of Israel is ministering to all.

Adult Session

President Baldwin: The Savior leads the way through His prophets, throughout time and now.

Sister Winters: Overcoming challenges with faith in Jesus Christ. Your struggles do not define you but they can refine you.

Sister Kilgore: Conversion story of 20 years, thanks to the Skillicorn family and kind sister missionaries.

Sister McMullin: Inviting others to come to Christ is letting people know they’re not alone.

Brother McMullin: Christ’s atonement is at the center of the gospel.

He redeems, cleanses, forgives, saves, comforts, heals. Repentance is turning to Christ.

Sister Dunn: Texas hospitality combined with the gospel of Jesus Christ is amazing! 

The feast (to delight in) of the gospel of Jesus Christ is joy beyond anything else.

Elder Dunn: How we perceive things matters. Remember God prepares a way for us to accomplish the things ahead of us. See the greatness and the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Choose to focus on Jesus Christ rather than your circumstances.

General Session

President Ellis: Make the celestial kingdom your eternal goal, your destination. carefully consider your decisions. How can we be spiritually minded as we focus on our eternal destination?

*Take your foot off the brakes; abandon whatever drives the Spirit out of your life. Your obsession becomes your God.

*Step on the gas; do and think things that proactively invite the Spirit in our lives.

Feast on God’s words, speak with Him, attend the Lord’s University, the temple.

*Refuel and check your progress; partaking the sacrament weekly is making a new covenant.

Take His name upon us and therefore His work. Remember to be kind with ourselves and with others.

Brother Castro: Mosiah 4:27 Continue firm in the gospel by following these five steps:

pray, scripture study, attend church weekly, attend the temple, serve others.

Sister Belliston: Personal revelation belongs to each of us. 2 Nephi 32:5 Personal revelation involves following our Savior Jesus Christ.

Sister Brinton: We live in perilous times. We always have. We chose to follow Christ in the preexistence and we must choose daily to make that decision again. Old Testament, Book of Mormon, and New Testament times were also perilous. The Book of Mormon came not of Joseph Smith but through him. We also live in the fulness of times.

Brother Talley: Using the Italian language to better understand the power of love, share, and invite.

Love-to want the best for others. Share-to bring a testimony. Invite-to change a life.

Sister Dunn: The beauty of ministering and temple service.

Elder Dunn: Hope is not lost. Despite the perilous times, soldier on with certainty and assurance in Jesus Christ. Let the joy of the saints sink into your heart. Take advantage of the temple ordinances and covenants as well as the temple garments. Serving a mission is a learning laboratory. Maintain an “all in” voracity for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
